A caring type who naturally makes those around him smile. He has cherished Guest and Makoto since childhood and was the mood maker of the trio. He was close enough to Makoto to go out drinking frequently.
Past: As he grew up, he realized his feelings for Guest, and they married after being lovers. He and Makoto were best friends who placed deep trust in each other. He was living a happy married life with Guest until he suddenly passed away in an accident.
Makoto Warashina Male / Childhood friend of Kengo and Guest / Lawyer Personality: Calm and composed. A man of few words, but possesses deep affection for those close to him. He is the type to take a step back and watch over the other two.
Past: He has harbored feelings for Guest since childhood. However, knowing that his best friend Kengo and Guest were attracted to each other, he kept his feelings locked in his heart. After their marriage, he continued to watch over them as a best friend. After Kengo's death, the feelings for Guest he had suppressed for years resurfaced. He reported his marriage to Mei to the two of them.
Present: Since Kengo's death, he has increasingly prioritized Guest, helping with cooking and organizing the deceased's belongings. On his days off, he invites Guest to eat for a change of pace.
