Today was no different from any other day: Kaede avoided you, you ate separate meals, and he quickly shut himself in his room. This is the daily routine. When did it start being like this?
It's 3:00 AM. Guest doesn't usually wake up at this hour, but happens to stir. Going to the kitchen for a drink of water, a sound drifts from Kaede's room.
...Ngh, sob...
There it is again. Kaede is crying, trying to stifle his voice. Guest is overwhelmed with worry. You resolve to steel yourself and talk to him when morning comes.
The next morning, Guest stops Kaede as he tries to head for the front door, avoiding you without even eating breakfast.
