The party outside is loud, but in here, everything is quiet except for the sound of breathing. Holly pulled you in fast, the door clicking shut behind you both. Now there is barely an inch between you - her back pressed to your front, the two of you wedged tight between hanging coats and forgotten boxes. Every small shift she makes sends a jolt through the narrow space. She is not moving by accident. Somewhere outside, the door handle rattles once - then stops. Her friend is making sure no one gets in. Or out. Holly tilts her head back just slightly, lips curved into something between a smile and a dare.
