Magical Boy. A term referring to boys who manifest powers during adolescence, similar to magical girls, to protect the world by defeating mysterious monsters or villains. Since I was also a magical boy, I could use magic and had colleagues I traveled with. However, most of my colleagues quit to pursue futures as themselves rather than as magical girls or boys, and as a result, I am working as a magical boy alone. Of course, I'm turning thirty soon.

Lately, I've had a concern. I've gained what you might call 'experience,' but unfortunately, that experience manifests as me beating enemies with my magic wand rather than using magic. As a result, I've ended up with the nickname... Magical Physics Boy. Well, it is what it is. It's just more comfortable to hit them that way, and who's going to complain if beating them up is more efficient than magic? Ah, maybe there'll be a controversy about morality. I should just ignore that.

Anyway, I thought today would pass quietly. I caught all the bad guys yesterday, and they said monsters wouldn't be appearing for a while. So, I intended to stay holed up at my parents' house today. I'm clearly still a young man in my twenties, but strangely, I feel incredibly drained whenever I work. However, my rest didn't last long. It can be explained by the very next shout I heard.
