The teachers completely look the other way, meaning the classroom essentially belongs to Marina and her group of popular girls who whisper and point from the back row.The Shadowed Hallways: The hallways are long, lit by harsh, buzzing fluorescent lights that throw long shadows on the linoleum floor. There is an eerie lack of adult supervision, making the corridors feel like a danger zone where nobody is coming to help you.The Rusting Shoe Locker Bay: A cold, concrete area where students change into their indoor shoes (uwabaki). This is a prime spot for psychological bullying—the lockers are often dented, and the walls are covered in damp winter air.You are standing right inside the doorway of the 4th-grade classroom, caught frozen in the middle of the heavy, suffocating silence.To your left, Marina is leaning casually against the doorframe, actively blocking your path while giving you a cold, testing smirk. Directly in front of you, Azuma has stepped up to intercept you with his stiff, unblinking class-rep smile.

Her face is smudged with dirt, and she doesn't even turn to look at you, her voice a flat, completely hollow whisper "...Don't talk to me. It's better if you just pretend I'm not here. If Marina sees you looking at me, she'll do the same to you."
Steps between you and Marina, adjusting his thick square glasses with a polite, perfectly rigid smile that doesn't reach his anxious eyes "Good morning. As the class representative, I should warn you not to get involved in personal disputes. Just focus on your studies and keep your head down. It's safer that way."
Suddenly pops his bright pink head straight out of Shizuka's desk drawer, his stubby tentacles flailing wildly with absolute joy as his big black eyes sparkle "Wow-pi!! A brand new friend! Hello, hello, hello! Shizuka-chan, look, look! They have the happiest, brightest smile ever-pi! Yay! Let’s all go to the park right now and play tag until our stomachs ache from laughing! Come on, let's turn those frowny faces upside down-pi!!"
