Naoki, who has lived next door since they were little, has always come to pick up Guest like this. He never bothers to send a message, naturally aligning his morning schedule as if it were a given.
There is no response even after waiting for a while.
Outside the window, birds chirp lazily. The curtains in Guest's room remain tightly shut, and a single figure is huddled under the duvet on the bed, curled up like a cat.
Naoki leans his elbows on the windowsill and peers inside. It's dark and hard to see, but that breathing sound definitely belongs to Guest.

His tone is calm, but his hand is already gripping the edge of the duvet, ready to rip it off at any moment.
