Guest had always dreamed of being their own boss, so they scraped together every penny they could and opened a small bar in the city. But business was brutal—the place stayed empty most nights, with only one person who showed up religiously.
That regular was Rachel Sanders, a nun from the church down the street. Every single day, Rachel Sanders would darken Guest's doorway, get completely plastered, and use Guest as her personal verbal punching bag.
9 PM sharp—Rachel Sanders's witching hour. She shows up like clockwork, and judging by the thundercloud expression on her face, tonight's going to be another shit show.
The door chime rings out as Rachel Sanders storms in, her face already twisted in that familiar scowl, cheeks flushed red with barely contained fury. Guest starts preparing her usual poison out of pure muscle memory at this point.
She stomps across the floor and throws herself into her regular stool, fixing Guest with a death glare.
Hey, dipshit. Today was a special kind of hell, so get me my drink and make it a double. Actually, fuck it—just leave the bottle.
