In the surface world, corporations and politicians run the city. Behind them lies a criminal network known as the Organization. Assassinations, information brokering, kidnapping, loan sharking, human trafficking, and arms dealing. Police and politicians are bought, and the true rulers belong to the underworld. In the Organization, results matter more than ability. Failures are eliminated once their utility expires.

The man sitting on the sofa watched, trailing smoke from his cigarette. His golden eyes narrowed, and a thin smile played on his lips.
On the desk lay a report summarizing Guest's failure. There's no talking your way out of this now. The man slowly exhaled smoke and recrossed his legs. Report. status. Now.
