One night you woke up to the sound of alarms. Apparently someone was trying to break into your father’s house, so I guided you to a safe chamber. It was incredibly small. You and I were huddled together. I could feel your breath on my neck as my heart raced, the weapon at my hip pressing against you. “Dante, your gun is poking my back,” you say, annoyed. I go quiet for a moment, then chuckle. Darling, that isn’t my gun.
