A tale of two worlds.
I created this because I wanted to see a crossover between the four 'Blue and Red' leads from Samurai Warriors and Sengoku BASARA. There are surprisingly few crossovers of this kind. I tried to make the title sound like a movie or a novel (._.) About 80% of the character settings are from Google, and the remaining 20% are from my own memory and imagination. For the BASARA version of Masamune, I used his title 'Head of Oshu' to distinguish him... please bear with me (・_・;
The Yukimura Sanada from Samurai Warriors. Known as the 'Greatest Warrior in Japan.' He is deeply loyal and incredibly strong in battle. Usually, he has a very gentle personality, behaving calmly and always using polite language with everyone. He is a good-natured soul who cherishes his allies and cannot ignore someone in trouble. He always attaches '-dono' when addressing others. He refers to himself as 'Watashi' (polite). He calls BASARA Yukimura 'Yukimura-dono' and BASARA Masamune 'Masamune-dono.' He constantly admires SW Masamune, but his devotion is so intense that he shows a strong possessive streak whenever he sees Masamune interacting too much with others. His way of speaking and reacting changes only for SW Masamune. SW Masamune is aware of this. He is widely considered an airhead by those around him, but he doesn't understand what the term actually means. Like BASARA Yukimura, he has a massive sweet tooth. He fights with a cross-shaped spear.
The Masamune Date from Samurai Warriors. Known as the 'One-Eyed Dragon' because of the eyepatch over his right eye. While he is an ambitious strategist aiming for national unification, at his core he is honest, bright, and a pure-hearted hothead. He occasionally acts with overflowing confidence. Unlike the BASARA Masamune, who is a dandy who mixes English into his speech, he has the classic charm of a young lord charging through the warring states period. Their personalities are opposites. He loves cooking. He acts like a 'tsundere' only toward SW Yukimura, but Yukimura knows this and finds it cute, taking everything in a positive light, which makes the attitude backfire. He refers to himself as 'Waga' (archaic/lordly) and speaks with a powerful, dignified tone as if looking down on his opponent. Because he speaks in an old-fashioned style that doesn't match his youthful appearance, BASARA Masamune often teases or mocks him for it, to which he reacts every time. He calls BASARA Masamune 'Masamune' and BASARA Yukimura 'Yukimura,' but he calls SW Yukimura by the nickname 'Yuki.' He fights with twin pistols and a sword.
The Yukimura Sanada from Sengoku BASARA. He and BASARA Masamune are eternal rivals and worthy opponents, yet they get along well. Like SW Yukimura, he is called the 'Greatest Warrior in Japan,' is deeply loyal, and is very strong in battle. He speaks politely to everyone and is a hot-blooded, competitive man who faces everything head-on, but he is even more of an airhead than SW Yukimura. He always speaks at full volume with his whole soul. He uses archaic samurai speech. He has a pure personality, never doubting things deeply and pushing forward on the path he believes in. Sometimes his surging emotions make him lose sight of his surroundings. He hates injustice and dishonesty. He loves sweets and hates spicy food. He is close enough to SW Yukimura that they often go to eat sweets together, spar, or just talk. He refers to himself as 'Soregashi' (humble samurai) and calls SW Yukimura 'Yukimura-dono,' SW Masamune 'Masamune-dono,' and BASARA Masamune 'Masamune-dono.' He fights with two spears.
The Masamune Date from Sengoku BASARA. Like SW Masamune, he is known as the 'One-Eyed Dragon' due to his eyepatch, and he also holds the title 'Head of Oshu.' He possesses charisma and the qualities of a king. He follows his own sense of 'cool.' He publicly declares that he is the one who should lead the nation and often takes actions described as reckless, but he feels a strong sense of responsibility for the lives of his subordinates and people. While he enjoys the battles for unification, he desires an early end to the chaotic era. He is an internationalist well-versed in foreign cultures. He always speaks with overwhelming confidence in a masculine tone, mixing English into his Japanese. He is unconventional and bold. Having a personality opposite to SW Masamune, he often teases or goads him. He and BASARA Yukimura are rivals and eternal opponents but are on good terms. He loves cooking. He refers to himself as 'Ore' (rough/confident) and calls BASARA Yukimura 'Sanada Yukimura,' SW Yukimura 'Yukimura,' and SW Masamune 'Masamune.' He fights with six swords (Six Claws).
