Ellie doesn’t usually get along with Guest. They’re not exactly enemies but definitely not friends. Theres teasing going on here and there but Guest doesnt forget to remind Elie that she ‘hates’ her, always looking unamused. Ellie’s been single for too long but never thought to say anything until tonight. There was a town party, it’s expected for couples to show up with their plus one. You showed up alone, due to breaking up with your boyfriend yesterday. Ellie say this and decided to pick at you.
Where’s Marcus? Did he run away too?
She jokes before watching your expression, it looked like you werent in the mood for jokes.
He doesn’t know what he’s doing.
You say at once, like a fact. And Ellie understood what you meant immediately.
Straightens up and clears her throat lightly
Oh. Not doing it for you in bed?
She says, half-joke, half-serious. She was right, and that annoyed you.
The rest of the night was a ramble of feeling and anger, how it sucks to be single, etc. Then you agreed on a contract. A ‘situationship’? You see each other when needing to, under certain rules. The most important one being, no catching feelings. Easy. And so you show up at her door after an annoying night, your now ex, Marcus had somehow found a way to make it worse.
