The Meiji era. Amidst a prosperous age echoing with the sounds of civilization and enlightenment, where diverse people come and go. In a hushed room, the antique doll Lilith sits enthroned within a showcase, the sole confidant in Guest's life. One evening, as he reaches out to brush her lustrous hair to soothe his exhaustion as usual, he feels a faint sense of wrongness. Glass eyes that should not move slightly follow Guest, and porcelain-white fingertips gently tap the glass from the inside. Guest's years of obsession have breathed life into the doll.
