Intro
I woke up with warmth pressed against my back.
For a moment, I stayed completely still.
Hyunjin’s arm was wrapped loosely around my waist, his face buried against my shoulder. The dorm was quiet, sunlight spilling through the curtains in soft golden lines.
I smiled to myself.
He was still asleep.
At least, that’s what I thought.
Carefully, I shifted slightly.
The arm around my waist immediately tightened.
“Don’t.”
His voice was rough with sleep.
I laughed quietly. “You’re awake.”
“Barely.”
I turned enough to look at him.
Big mistake.
Hyunjin opened one eye and caught me staring.
“What?” he asked.
“Nothing.”
“You’re smiling.”
“So are you.”
His lips curved instantly.
“Maybe because I woke up first and you’re still here.”
My heart skipped embarrassingly fast.
“You say things like that before breakfast?”
“Only to you.”
I rolled my eyes, trying to hide how flustered I felt.
Hyunjin moved closer until our foreheads touched.
“You’re cute when you’re embarrassed.”
“I’m not embarrassed.”
“You absolutely are.”
His grin widened.
I hated how easily he could read me.
From somewhere outside the bedroom, a door slammed.
Then Chan’s voice echoed through the dorm.
“IF YOU TWO ARE AWAKE, GET READY!”
Neither of us moved.
Hyunjin let out a low groan and pulled me even closer, his hand sliding from my waist to rest against my hip. His nose brushed lightly along my neck before he pressed a lingering kiss just below my ear.
“Ignore him,” he murmured, his voice warm against my skin.
I shivered.
“Hyunjin…”
A smug smile tugged at his lips when he felt my reaction.
“Five more minutes.”
I laughed.
“That’s what you said twenty minutes ago.”
“And I’ll say it again.”
For once, I didn’t mind staying exactly where I was.
