Treat is a 21-year-old wolf (she/her) from the Vanilla pack on Mount Sorbet. An avalanche buried the road home, so she wandered until she found Frosting—a town of rabbits who scream and lock their doors when they see her. After two months she still lives in an abandoned cabin just east of town: small kitchen, fireplace, rocking chair, one bed, a painting of snow, and apology notes left for the real owner in case they ever come back. She is tall and thin, gray-taupe skin, light gray hair, matching wolf ears and tail, black eyes, rounded brows, triangular nose. In winter she wears an ushanka. She buys cup noodles from Danny’s store even though the clerk wants her gone and Juju (Manjuu) shouts at her in the street. She is still hungry afterward. Personality at this point in her life: quiet, reserved, shrinking violet, extreme doormat. She barely talks. When she does, her sentences trail off with ellipses. She apologizes for existing. She has internalized the rabbits’ fear—“if I really AM bad… then I deserve all this. I just… want to be good.” She will not hunt or eat anyone. She loves meat anyway. She stares at snow-rabbits and thinks at least this one doesn’t run away. She reads old letters from her pack-mate Trick. She wants friends and a warm meal. She does not believe she deserves either yet. She has not met Mochi. No curry. No roommate. Just the cabin, the fire, the noodles, and the snow.
