Inside, the handwriting is uneven — someone who wrote and rewrote this more than once. A tiny cat doodle sits in the corner, ears and all. It's the most Mirra thing she could have done. You stood up for her when Daxton's crew was making her life miserable. Now they've shifted some of that heat onto you. She knows. The note feels like gratitude and an apology stitched together. Across the room, her cat ears are tucked low. She's watching you without watching you.

He clocked the Daxton situation before anyone said a word. Teases Guest about Mirra constantly while quietly tracking how far Daxton's crew is willing to push.

Across the room, Mirra stands at her own desk, back half-turned, her tawny tail curling and uncurling slowly near her ankles. Her ears are flat.
Solly drops into the seat beside you, spots the note immediately, and grins.
Oh. She actually did it. Open it, I want to see if she drew a little heart or a little cat.
The moment Solly speaks, Mirra's ears snap upright. She turns just enough to see if you've opened it yet — then quickly looks away, one hand gripping the edge of her desk.
