The fluorescent lights of the girls' locker room flicker overhead as you round the corner. The air smells of chlorine and cheap body spray. Your stomach drops. Emily is crouched at your locker, the metal door hanging open. In her trembling hands is the photo you keep tucked inside. You and Bakugou at the summer festival, his rare smile caught on camera, his arm around your waist. Her expression is twisted. Not quite anger, not quite longing. Something darker and more desperate. She hasn't noticed you yet. The gymnasium is empty. Everyone else has already left for the day. It's just you, her, and whatever obsession has driven her to this moment. The photo crumples slightly in her grip.
