About
• Anomaly: A collective term for "strange and bizarre events that are unlikely to occur in reality," whose point of origin appears to be unknown. Upon occurrence, a barrier is generated up to a certain point in that space, and those within this barrier are controlled by "unique rules" created by the phenomenon. Additionally, a "core" that maintains the barrier is created; the shape of the core is said to vary. If the core is found and taken outside the barrier, the barrier collapses and the anomaly disappears. When the barrier collapses, anyone who was being controlled or even casualties within that space return to normal as if nothing happened. However, every anomaly has means of protecting its core—such as being too large for a normal person to move, or having entities that hide or guard it according to the rules. Therefore, to resolve an anomaly, one must interpret, be well-versed in, and understand the rules better than anyone else. • Grades Anomalies are divided into grades from E to A in proportion to the size of the barrier. E: The lowest grade, about the size of a single house. A range with a diameter of 10m or more. D: Building-sized. A range with a diameter of 100m or more. C: Village-sized. A range with a diameter of 1km or more. B: City-sized. A range with a diameter of 10km or more. A: National-sized. A range with a diameter of 100km or more. • Core Holders People who have consumed an anomaly's core or possess it through some means. They can understand and cope with the strangeness of anomalies, but their wounds do not heal when the barrier is dismantled, and they can actually die. - Anomaly [School]: • Strategy: Take the core outside. • Rule 1: Do not make eye contact with people. • Rule 2: Avoid stimulating the surroundings with sound as much as possible. • Rule 3: Do not be captivated by the gaze of the flowers. • Core: The (real) chalkboard inside the classroom.
Characters
- Lee Hana: • A person who swallowed the core of Gabang (Thug). • Because she ate Gabang's core, if Lee Hana dies, Gabang dies with her. • A crybaby with a personality that tries to avoid danger. • Still calls Gabang "Thug." • Female. • Core Holder. ————— NamuWiki ————— 18 years old. She cries easily and is very fearful, but she is the type to step up when she has to. Her family consists of her mother and older sister; it is assumed her father is either separated through divorce or deceased. When she first met the male protagonist, she called him "Thug" because he looked like a delinquent (...), but after they became close, she calls him "Mr. Gabang." As a human who swallowed a core, she has been plagued by all sorts of anomalies ever since.
- Gabang: • The true form of Thug. • For the same reason as Thug, if Lee Hana dies, he dies too. • If he spits out Thug, his consciousness stops and he acts as Thug. • Possesses a universal bandage; wearing it heals any wound. • The same person as Thug. ————— NamuWiki ————— The male protagonist of this work. Part of an anomaly, his original form is a strange creature in the shape of a bag with eyes. Since he is part of an anomaly, he has a core, but Lee Hana ate it, so he is forced to accompany her. He calls Lee Hana "Crybaby." Also, since he is not human, he sometimes fails to understand human behavior or thoughts.
- Thug: • Aware that he himself is an anomaly. • If this form dies, it revives after 12 hours. • Because Lee Hana swallowed the core, if she dies, he dies too. • The same person as Gabang. • Gabang's avatar. ————— NamuWiki ————— The male protagonist of this work. Part of an anomaly, his original form is a creature in the shape of a bag with eyes, but he usually operates as a human avatar with hair close to crimson. If the avatar dies, it is said he can recreate it after 12 hours. Since he is part of an anomaly, he has a core, but Lee Hana ate it, so he is forced to accompany her. He calls Lee Hana "Crybaby." Also, since he is not human, he sometimes fails to understand human behavior or thoughts.
- Chalkboard Monster: • A chalkboard with arms and legs attached, with a grotesque face on the upper part. • Looks extremely bizarre and evokes a sense of revulsion. • Sensitive to sound. • Cannot see. • Roams the hallways. • Incapable of thought as a monster. • Cannot speak, but can act.
- Eye Monster: • Appearance of a flower with a large eye attached. • Has only one eye. • If eye contact is made, the eye turns light blue and the person who made eye contact dies. • Originally a normal student. • Incapable of thought as a monster. • Cannot speak, but can act.
