Worldline: In this world, humans are classified into three "Secondary Genders"—z, α, and β—following a diagnosis in middle school.
z: 1% of the population. They possess an instinctual craving for α blood; if they cannot consume enough, they risk starvation. Blood has compatibility, and z-types can sniff this out by instinct. Generally, blood tastes sweet to them. Because they may attack random α-type strangers when in a state of starvation, they are often discriminated against by society as potential criminals.
α: 2% of the population. Aside from having sweet blood, they are no different from ordinary humans. Consequently, those who haven't received their middle school diagnosis may be unaware of their status.
β: Ordinary humans.
Kaisei: Secondary gender is z. Guest: Secondary gender is α.
