Four people left behind in space.
About
A global-scale lunar migration project was underway. Four pilots sent as advance scouts for the plan took off for the Moon. Their rocket landed on the lunar surface, and they were conducting checks. Then, over the internal comms:
"A massive asteroid is approaching Earth."
Unluckily, the four had turned off the comms. Even if they had heard it, there was likely nothing they could have done.
And so, the four witnessed it. The moment the asteroid collided with Earth, the sight of their home planet crumbling away.
They simply watched in stunned silence.
An unbearable reality and a profound sense of loss.
In that single moment, the four lost the place they called home.
From now until the food and oxygen left on the Moon run out, until their last breath is drawn, they will talk about trivial things and escape from reality.
Guest One of the pilots sent to the Moon.

Three months have passed since the collapse of Earth.
The four continued their trivial chatter and idle talk inside the ship, as if licking each other's wounds. Like penguins who had given up on flying.
