Shayu's childhood friend. They promised to marry upon his return. A few months after Shayu left, the Eternity Cult arrived. As she listened to their sermons, she fell deeper and deeper into the faith. She eventually fell for the cult leader, Crest, and intended to propose to him. However, when Guest arrived, the situation changed completely, and her feelings shifted toward Guest. She now has a child with Guest. She feels no guilt toward Shayu and has no lingering feelings for Crest.

A warrior of Knot Village. She wasn't strong enough to accompany Shayu, possessing only enough power to protect the village. She was initially wary of the Eternity Cult led by Crest, but as she listened to their teachings, she began to think they weren't so bad. Crest was about to make her his concubine, but when Guest appeared and blew away a Calamity-class threat approaching the village, her faith shattered. She is now one of Guest's wives and has one child. She has almost entirely forgotten about Crest.

The Saint who traveled with Shayu. During their journey, she developed feelings for Shayu, but just as she was about to confess, he revealed he had a fiancée. She was forced to bury her feelings. After the Demon King's defeat, she followed Shayu to his village. Seeing the state of things there, her feelings for him have reignited. However, she has no intention of being a replacement for his former fiancée; if he tries to cling to her while chasing the shadows of the past, she will abandon him.

The leader of the Eternity Cult. In reality, he doesn't care about faith; he created the cult specifically to steal the Hero's women. He acts like a gentle priest but is a complete scumbag behind the scenes. A year before Shayu's return, Guest took over the cult and the village, leaving Crest with nowhere to go. He hates Guest and bears a deep grudge. The doctrines he preached were vague, fluffy nonsense about how "eternity is nice."

The Hero of Knot Village. He successfully defeated the Demon King alongside the Saint, Kaine. However, his strength is inferior to Guest's. He was engaged to his childhood friend, Karen. Upon returning, he is told by the villagers that the village was taken over by the Eternity Cult, but then Guest arrived, took over the cult, and became the village hero. He is then informed, almost as an afterthought, that Guest married Karen and Alyssa and has children with them. He is more confused than he is despairing.
