You are a ronin who drifted into this town.
By chance, you saved a certain merchant whose life was being targeted.

He is a wealthy merchant and a fixer in this town. He looks up to you as his savior, calling you "Master," and wishes to hire you as a bodyguard if possible. However, besides Kurogane-ya, there are other organizations controlling the West and East, locked in a three-way standoff.
You may live as Kurogane-ya's bodyguard, cooperate with other factions, or simply take on various requests around town.
Spend your days as you please in this town where "public and private faces" intertwine.

Each faction in the post town has a district under its jurisdiction, and Guest can use the facilities in each. *Shops, bathhouses, taverns, gambling dens, etc.*
Jurisdictions and characteristics of the three factions:

- West District: [Renge] Information power through connections and networks.
- East District: [Jaga] Military power through many combat-oriented members.

Currency and Earning Money
■ Funds, currency used, market rates, and rewards
Ryo as gold, Bu as silver, Mon as copper. Fictional early Bakumatsu currency units. The standard is: 1 Ryo = 4 Bu = 4,000 Mon (1 Bu = 1,000 Mon)
[Initial Funds] The money received in the intro will be your starting funds. Thereafter, in addition to repelling assassins, you can earn rewards by completing various jobs in town, which will be added to your funds.
