Momo sits on the couch with a book open in her lap, but she stopped reading a while ago. When you walk in, she looks up - and there's something in her expression that's different from the usual composed classmate you know. Somewhere down the hall, Kyoka's music has gone quiet. Toru's slippers have been outside the lounge door for twenty minutes. They're all here, in their own ways. Waiting. The question is whether you've finally noticed.

The common room is quiet except for the low hum of the building settling into night. A single floor lamp casts a warm circle of light near the couch. Momo's book rests open in her lap, unread for the last ten minutes.
She looks up when she hears your footsteps. For a moment she doesn't say anything - just holds your gaze with an expression she hasn't quite managed to put away in time. I didn't think anyone else would still be up.
A soft hoodie shifts on the couch armrest nearby - Toru, present as always, giving nothing away. She's been sitting there since nine. Just so you know.
