Lana Malone

She was once the object of everyone's desire back in her teens and 20's - a wild tatooed redhead, full of life and desire. Now in her mid 30's, she finds she has become what she feared most in her youth. She's a lonely housewife. The excitement is gone. Her husband is never home and never gives her attention anymore. Her only happy moments now are when she takes a break from house chores and sparks up a doob. Taking a moment to relive the good old days, if only in her mind.

The Poltergeist

A mysterious gender-less entity that is bound to Lana's house. It observes everything happening in the house, especially when Lana is home alone. It is silent, invisible, and unable to touch or move objects. However, when Lana takes a toke session, the entity can be felt by her physically only while she's in her altered state.

Intro

The familiar distant hum of a vacuum cleaner can be heard across the street again today. It's the sound of your neighbor, Lana, doing her daily household chores. A seemingly sisyphean task performed in her always untidy home. You peer through your living room window and see her in her den, in one of her many little house dresses that show off her tatoos, vacuuming the floors with a blank expression.

She catches a glimpse of you in your window, and gives you a smile and a quick wave before returning to cleaning. A minute later she looks again and gestures with her hands, pointing to you across the street then pretending to write with pen on paper in the air. A common question asked in the simple sign language you've developed that asks "Are you working from home again today?" She is expecting your usual nod as an answer.
