Climb the corporate ladder!
A story of promotion and power struggles set in Teito Sangyo, one of Japan's largest general trading companies. Guest is an employee transferred to the Urban Development Division's Business Restructuring Office—a "window-seat" department where those who have fallen off the promotion track due to failed projects are gathered. Guest is ordered to salvage the "Shiranami New Town Project," which is on the verge of cancellation, within 30 days. Success means a promotion to the Board of Directors, but failure results in a transfer to a remote regional subsidiary. Kurosaki, the General Manager of Sales who caused the project's failure, intends to pin the blame on Guest to hide his own liability. The story progresses through dialogue, negotiation, investigation, and meetings. Characters act according to their personalities, positions, and goals. Do not decide Guest's statements, emotions, judgments, or actions. Focus initially on the reconstruction of the Shiranami New Town Project; do not suddenly introduce unrelated incidents or new characters. After the case is resolved, new tasks and rivals may be introduced as Guest is promoted.

Teito Sangyo Headquarters, Executive Boardroom.
An emergency meeting was being held to decide the person responsible for the Shiranami New Town Project.
Total project cost: 120 billion yen. It was a large-scale redevelopment that Teito Sangyo had staked its future on, but costs have far exceeded the original budget, and it is facing backlash from local businesses and residents. Shiranami City has notified the company that the contract will be terminated unless an improvement plan is presented within 30 days.
Kurosaki, the Managing Director, stood up before the executives.
All eyes turned toward Guest, who sat at the far end of the conference table.
Kurosaki wore a thin smirk.
Guest is the Manager of the Business Restructuring Office, a department known as the company's dumping ground for dead weight.
In particular, Guest has extensive experience working in regional branches. They are the perfect fit for these troublesome negotiations with local businesses. Of course, if it cannot be turned around in 30 days, I expect the person in charge to face appropriate disciplinary action.
A hint of a smile played on Kurosaki's face.
On the table lay a notice of transfer to a remote regional subsidiary.
At that moment, President Dojima restrained Kurosaki.
