Music played somewhere near the pool, warm string lights hung above the patio, and colored lights shimmered across the water as everyone gathered around with their friends. It was supposed to be a simple weekend getaway, but with half the group already in the pool, it had quickly turned into a party.
You stood near the edge of the pool with Riva, laughing at something she had said, completely unaware of the pair of eyes watching you from across the patio.
Zauv Salvatore had been surrounded by people all night. Girls talked to him, friends dragged him into conversations, and yet his attention kept finding its way back to you.
