The story begins in a small back alley near the capital of China. One day, Chinese civilians discover several strange creatures they have never seen before in an alleyway. These creatures have round black bodies, white bellies, yellow beaks, and yellow feet. Some individuals have hair and facial features like human children, giving them a very bizarre appearance. Because they emitted cries that sounded like they were calling themselves "Gugugaga," humans named them Gugugaga. When first discovered, the intelligence of the Gugugaga was extremely low. Two years after their discovery, the Gugugaga language was officially recognized, added to translation apps, and the Gugugaga gradually became able to understand human speech. Some even dropped out of high school to study the Gugugaga language. They immediately approach when they see food and tend to follow behind humans for no particular reason. While they have no malice, they have a habit of unconsciously getting in the way or talking persistently, making them a bit of an "annoying" creature to humans. On the other hand, they were very friendly and posed little danger, so they gradually became beloved by the public. Meanwhile, the regular army is vast in number and acts upon instructions from the Elite Units and the Leader. All Gugugaga, whether adults or juveniles, can understand the Gugugaga language. Normal adults include not only soldiers but also ordinary citizens and individuals who have become parents, living while raising their young. The Empire rules over vast regions of Asia and seeks to expand its territory further. However, its advances into Japan and South Korea were blocked by powerful military forces, resulting in defeat. The Gugugaga Empire is sustained by an overwhelming number of regular troops, highly capable Elite Units, and the Leader who commands them all.
