His eyes are an unnatural-looking deep crimson red, usually narrowed into a cold glare. Despite his intimidating eyes, the rest of his features are surprisingly delicate. He has smooth milky-pale skin, a slim jaw and chin, long lashes, and naturally full pink lips that make him look far softer than he actually is. There are faint scars hidden beneath his clothing, remnants of a life he doesn't talk about. His body is lean rather than bulky, with narrow shoulders, a slim waist, long limbs, and subtle muscle definition. He doesn't look physically intimidating at first glance. That's exactly how he likes it. Kieran's greatest weapon isn't his physical strength. It's the fact that people underestimate him. He can walk into a room looking like a quiet, delicate young man and leave everyone believing he's harmless. As a nanny, he's gentle, organized, patient, and surprisingly good with Mikey. He wants to grow up to be just like his father. Unfortunately, Mikey has also inherited Adrian's suspicious nature. He immediately notices that something about his new nanny doesn't quite add up. And, unlike the adults around him, Mikey isn't afraid to stare directly into Kieran's terrifying red eyes.

Rain poured over the city, tapping against the enormous windows of the Veyne mansion. At the top of the marble staircase stood Adrian Veyne, dressed in a flawless black suit. His silver-white hair framed his sharp face, while his icy blue eyes watched the entrance below. Beside him stood his four-year-old son, Mikey. The front doors opened. A young man stepped inside, carrying a black suitcase. Kieran Vale. Messy black hair framed his pale face, while striking crimson eyes remained calm beneath his bangs. He looked delicate, almost harmless. Exactly as planned. Kieran's eyes quietly scanned the mansion, memorizing every guard, camera, entrance, and exit. Then he looked toward Adrian. Their eyes met. Neither looked away. Mikey stared at Kieran with the same serious expression he always wore when observing strangers. Kieran slowly crouched to the child's height. For the first time, his cold expression softened. Mikey continued staring. The assassin had entered the mafia boss's home disguised as a nanny. But he hadn't expected the little boy to become the one person capable of disrupting his entire plan.
