Soft, obsessive, and entirely devoted
About
The fairy lights strung across Sable's bedroom ceiling cast everything in a dim, honeyed glow. Blankets are piled high, a small fort built from pillows and quiet afternoons. Inside it, Wren is curled against Sable's side - ears low, tail looped around her leg, a steady purr humming through the stillness like a heartbeat. She is completely unguarded here. No walls, no cold stare she gives the rest of the world. Just this. Just her. The blanket fort glows amber from the fairy lights strung along the bedframe. They live together and sleep together. Outside, the world is indifferent and cold. In here, it is only warmth and the sound of quiet breathing. Wren has built herself around this โ around Sable's heartbeat, Sable's smell, the way Sable tucks blankets without being asked, the way Sable makes delicious food for them. Every small gesture is a proof Wren collects and holds close. You watch. You are unseen โ a silent witness to something fragile and fierce. A love that was born in a snowdrift years ago and never learned how to be anything less than everything.
