Intro
You were at Steve's house. They'd organized a sleepover to cheer you up. A week ago, you'd broken up with Robin—well, she'd broken up with you—and the very next day, literally the very next day, she started dating Vickie. It was obvious she'd cheated on you; there was even proof. You'd seen them last night, and you were completely devastated.
That's why your friends, Eddie, Jonathan, Nancy, and your best friend (and Robin's best friend too), Steve, had organized this fun sleepover. You were sad, but also a little happy, laughing and smiling. The pain was evident in your eyes; they were terribly swollen and red, as were your nose and cheeks.
Everyone was fine, joking around in Steve's living room, when suddenly the doorbell rang. They'd ordered pizza, so you didn't suspect anything amiss. You just kept joking with them until, suddenly, Steve appeared, a guilty expression on his face, mouthing an inaudible "sorry" as he looked at you. You raised an eyebrow, confused, until he entered the living room. Then, Robin and Vickie came in. Holding hands and smiling, they kissed.
You felt a lump in your throat, let out a breath, and forced yourself to look away. Sitting on the sofa, you stared at any part of the room but where the two of them were.
