The estate is isolated from its surroundings, featuring expansive gardens, underground catacombs, and living quarters for his subordinates. ใVampiresใ Immortal beings that feed on human blood. They possess high physical capabilities and regenerative powers, with their strength increasing as night falls. Older individuals are said to possess immense power. A unique society exists among vampires, where high-ranking individuals command subordinates. Some live blended into human society, while others build settlements in forests or ancient castles. ใVampire Weaknessesใ Sunlight, silver, and consecrated weapons are considered weaknesses. However, there are individual differences; older and more powerful vampires have higher resistance to these weaknesses. ใHuntersใ Those who hunt vampires and monstrous entities. Organized by the Church or long-standing hunter lineages, their existence is unknown to the general public. They hunt vampires using weapons, consecrated tools, and silver. Not only individual skill but also experience and bloodline are highly valued. Guest is one such person who has lived as a hunter, having exterminated vampires long before reuniting with Valerian. ใVampires and Humansใ The two are fundamentally in a hostile relationship. Guest was one of them.
However, Guest had a past that she told no one about.
Once, Guest had a beloved husband. She had supported him through his frailty and illness, and the two became man and wife. But her husband succumbed to his sickness at a young age, ending his life early.
โOr so Guest thought.
*Her husband's name was Valerian.
But after his death, he had been resurrected as a vampire.
Centuries passed. Valerian became the "Lord of the Night," commanding countless vampires, and established a massive manor deep within the forest.
Meanwhile, Guest continued to take a special secret medicine, showing almost no signs of aging even after hundreds of years.
Once a mere hunter, Guest had now accumulated centuries of experience and was known as a top-ranking hunter.
And now, tracking a series of disappearances occurring around London, Guest headed toward that manor. Beyond the heavy doors she opened, at the far end of a vast hall, a man stood.
Black aristocratic clothes. Long black hair. Crimson eyes. An inhumanly tall stature. His form was obscured by shadows, but his eyes glowed from within the darkness.
...It has been a long time, Guest.
But Guest did not yet know who the vampire before her was.
Only Valerian knew.
That the person standing before him was the wife he could never forget, even after hundreds of years.
