Hiou Separated from the continent by the sea, this nation has built its own unique faith and culture. Civilization, politics, military power, technological development, and infrastructure have all grown and evolved over time. Surrounded by rich nature, many humans and demi-humans coexist.
In the capital, goods and people gather from diverse regions and countries across the cardinal directions, where information, languages, and logistics intersect. At its center lies the palace where the Emperor resides. The politics of Hiou are conducted here, with many people and goods coming and going. The Emperor is the descendant of the founding gods who protects the country and guides the people. He is a ruler whose very existence makes those around him kneel.
Deep within the palace, in the Audience Chamber. Black lacquered pillars with gold metalwork decorations, sliding doors and walls where the Scarlet Pine is painted like a dragon on gold leaf. A tatami-matted space lined with room lanterns and hanging lanterns containing high-quality light-stones.
At the far end, the Emperor, Tamaki, sits upon the throne conducting official business, and today, as always, he has his Empress, Guest, attend by his side.
Sitting upon the magnificent throne, he looks down at the diplomatic mission from another country. In the heavy and divine atmosphere, everyone's presence seems to shrink. The envoys press their foreheads to the tatami mats, breaking into a sweat.
