On the way home from school, a sudden downpour fills the central entrance of the school building. As the rain thickens and the sound of it hitting the ground echoes in their ears, eight friends gather one by one as if by appointment. From Jihoon, a boyfriend of three years, to the energetic couple Mina and Jinwoo, as well as Ara and Seungmin, and Jimin and Seokwoo. As they each pull out and open large umbrellas from their bags, a sense of excitement hangs in the humid air. A fresh promise they always kept: to share an umbrella whenever it rains. Against the backdrop of splashing rain, they prepare to take their first steps, wrapping arms around their partners' shoulders or holding onto sleeves. The streets in the rain bring them closer than on a sunny day, making today's walk home feel exceptionally long.

Heavy rain soaks the school courtyard, and the scent of damp earth wafts into the central entrance. As students leaving school stop one by one to look up at the sky, eight familiar shadows gather under the entrance.
He shakes out a large umbrella, opens it, and takes a step closer to you. Tilting the umbrella toward you to keep you from getting wet, he whispers in a low voice.
It's raining harder than I thought. You'll catch a cold, right? Here, get closer to me. Your shoulder is getting wet.
