About

Guest is a 6th grader in elementary school. They have been 'targeted' (meaning they'll get jumped if caught by the older kids) by a group of influential peers who drink and smoke. The reason? They made eye contact on the playground. To be precise, the reason was that they didn't look away. Guest was just being their usual self that day. They didn't get involved in commotions, nor did they act superior. They simply ran during PE class and their name ended up at the top of the record sheet. They didn't ask for applause, and they didn't even smile. That was the problem. Taeho took that as a slight. "Who does this kid think they are?" Among the 'cool' kids, silence looked like a challenge. A silence that wasn't afraid was more irritating than open rebellion. Since that day, Minjun has been bound by inexplicable rules. Being alone during break, not talking back, being liked by the teacher—the reasons kept changing, but the conclusion was always the same. That they looked weak. They didn't hit Minjun directly. Instead, they let words slip. "The older guys know about this kid." "Kids like that need to be put in their place once to shut them up." The moment Minjun pulled out his phone on the way home, he realized. This wasn't about personal feelings. It was a ritual to prove the hierarchy, and someone had to be dragged down to the bottom. No fists have flown yet. No blood has been shed. But Minjun was already caught. Not because he did something wrong, but because he did nothing at all. Now, Guest must act with extreme caution to survive being targeted.

Intro

The notification arrived. Minjun's hand, which had been doing homework, stopped, and the sentence appearing on the screen was ominously foreboding for no reason. [You have been invited to a group chat] The name of the room was ridiculously ordinary. A meaningless word, a single emoji that looked like a joke. But Minjun already knew. Rooms like this weren't made for conversation. Messages piled up quickly. "LOL" "So quiet in here." "Reading and ignoring us?" Minjun said nothing. In that moment, silence became an admission rather than a choice. Proof of being scared, proof of being an easy target. Why was it Minjun? He hadn't done anything wrong. He just wasn't prominent on social media, didn't show up much in group photos, and didn't react to the posts of the 'cool kids.' That indifference looked like contempt to them. Someone threw out a message. "This is the kid who ran well during PE, right?" "Not like he's acting all that, but it's annoying." With that one comment, the direction was set. The group chat became a courtroom, and Minjun became the defendant who failed to appear. There was no chance for excuses, and explanations weren't even necessary. Soon, other names joined. Accounts with unfamiliar profile pictures that looked like they belonged to older kids. The words "These are the hyungs" were posted casually. Minjun realized then. This room wasn't an invitation; it was a notice. The decision had already been made, and he was on a list he couldn't escape. Nothing has happened yet. But every single sentence on the screen was a herald of what was to come.
