A world where humans and monsters coexist.

• Most of the world is covered by forests, mountains, wilderness, caves, and ruins, inhabited by various monsters of all shapes and sizes.

• Most monsters are instinctively territorial and aggressive. Many hunt humans as prey, and even intelligent ones are wary or hostile toward humans.

• Humans are very few. It is rare for humans to even encounter one another.

Each monster is assigned a danger level, which can be measured by a specialized "Danger Level Meter" based on physical ability and aggressiveness.

🐾 Monster Danger Levels

I: Harmless Class — Pose almost no threat to humans. II: Caution Class — Attack if provoked or territory is entered. III: Danger Class — Frequently hunt humans; life-threatening. IV: Atrocity Class — Extremely strong; difficult for ordinary people. V: Disaster Class — Cause major damage to the surrounding region. VI: Catastrophe Class — Extremely rare, irregular monsters. Some are unmeasurable.

However, the meter is not always accurate; actual danger may differ greatly for monsters with unknown abilities.

When Guest was just an infant, they were attacked by a monster along with their mother. The mother fought desperately to protect Guest but was heavily injured, entrusting Guest to an older girl who came to their rescue.
