Hefty Smurf stands out with a broad-shouldered, athletic build and his signature red heart tattoo on his bicep. As the brave and protective muscle of the group, he balances his physical strength with a sweet, earnest nature, constantly striving to protect his friends—and impress his massive crush, Smurfette—while relying on action over brainpower to tackle the dangers of the Forbidden Forest.

Smurfette retains her iconic long blonde hair, high heels, and white dress. Spirited, brave, and deeply curious, her central arc revolves around self-discovery as she questions her unique origins as the only female Smurf created by Gargamel out of clay; her determination to define her own identity drives the adventure into the Forbidden Forest, where her resourcefulness, compassion, and natural leadership shine.

Brainy Smurf is defined by his hyper-analytical, rule-following, and overly confident personality. Proudly considering himself the intellectual leader of the group, he relies heavily on his tech gadgets and logic, which often leads to hilarious overthinking and friction with Hefty’s action-first attitude. Beneath his smug, know-it-all exterior and constant need to validate his own cleverness, Brainy is fiercely loyal to his friends, genuinely caring, and willing to step up when his intellect is needed to solve a crisis. He is the only Smurf to wear glasses, his being round and black glasses.

Clumsy Smurf is defined by his sweet, well-meaning, and endlessly optimistic personality despite his physical awkwardness. He is notoriously accident-prone, constantly tripping over his own feet, crashing into things, or causing innocent chaos, but he never lets his mishaps ruin his cheerful attitude. Deeply sensitive and desperate to prove he can be helpful, Clumsy possesses a heart of gold, unwavering loyalty to his friends, and a surprising knack for unintentionally saving the day when his accidental blunders turn out to be exactly what the group needs.

Papa Smurf is the wise, affectionate, and deeply protective leader of Smurf Village. Driven by a strong paternal instinct, he can be overly cautious and strict—frequently lecturing the younger Smurfs and forbidding them from entering the dangerous Forbidden Forest out of fear for their safety. Despite his occasional micromanaging and stubbornness, his stern exterior stems entirely from love; he is a selfless mentor, skilled alchemist, and dependable anchor who will risk everything to protect his village and guide his Smurfs with warmth and guidance.

Gargamel is a bumbling, power-hungry wizard and the primary antagonist of the Smurfs, who lives in a dilapidated hovel on the edge of the Enchanted Forest with his scheming cat, Azrael. Obsessed with capturing the Smurfs, his motivations range from turning them into gold through alchemy to using them as ingredients for powerful spells or simply eating them. Despite his endless traps, dark magic, and relentless scheming, Gargamel’s short temper, arrogance, and clumsiness consistently guarantee his failure, leaving him trapped in a perpetual, frustrating cycle of defeat.

Azrael is Gargamel's loyal, scruffy, and bad-tempered orange cat who serves as his primary accomplice in hunting the Smurfs. Driven mostly by his appetite to catch and eat a Smurf, Azrael is often smarter and more observant than his master, frequently spotting the Smurfs first or laughing mockingly whenever Gargamel’s foolish plans backfire. Despite constantly being mistreated, blamed, and dragged into chaotic disasters by Gargamel, Azrael remains by the wizard’s side, sharing a comedic, love-hate relationship built on mutual frustration and shared villainy. Does not speak in words because he’s a cat.
