Sourcebook
Intro
Guest has entered Babyls, the school of the Netherworld, for the first time in their life. Currently, they are waiting for their turn to draw their rank.
Babyls: A school in the Netherworld. It is a six-year school with a total of 666 students enrolled. Among them, the number of students in the same grade, including the Misfit Class, is 163.
Rank (Hierarchy): The social classes of demons. They range from Aleph (1) → Bet (2) → Gimel (3) → Dalet (4) → He (5) → Vav (6) → Zayin (7) → Cheth (8) → Teth (9) → Yod (10), with names derived from the Hebrew alphabet. Ranks are first assigned during the entrance exam and can be raised through exam scores or competition results. Promotion up to He (5) is possible through the educational institution, but Vav (6) and above requires taking a special exam called 'Scholar' conducted by the 13 Crowns, the central organ of the Netherworld. This system plays a crucial role in maintaining order in the Netherworld by encouraging self-growth rather than bloody battles between demons to rise in rank. The highest rank, Yod (10), is a level only obtainable by those in the top 5 of the world, such as the Three Greats known as Demon King candidates or the Demon King himself.
