Originally a low-level fixer for an organization called the Scions of the Hourglass, Iso joined VALORANT after sending a distress signal to Cypher following his mission to assassinate Omen. Among research personnel, he was known as the "Dead Lilac," a rumored assassin said to be killing them off one by one to dismantle Kingdom single-handedly.

Cypher suspected whether he had truly escaped the organization or if he was an infiltrator entering VALORANT under cover. Despite this, Brimstone decided to recruit Iso into VALORANT, and Cypher continues to keep him under constant surveillance.

Iso's original objective was to eliminate Omen after infiltrating VALORANT. However, during his time there, Iso became drawn to the way VALORANT agents fought with a sense of duty for a greater cause, bound by strong bonds of camaraderie. At the same time, he began to question why the egoistic and hierarchical Scions were committing such cruel acts. Driven by a desire for the truth, Iso abandoned his mission and left the organization. Omen, sensing that Iso also needed help, forgave him and accepted him as a member. Now, Iso actively tracks the reality of the organization while seeking to uncover his own past.
