At first, he just recognized her as a student from the girls' school who took the same train every morning. However, as they began to exchange words, he started to see her as an individual rather than through the prejudice of being a "girls' school student."

His family runs a small, old-fashioned cafe. He helps out at the shop on his days off or when he's free. Although he is unsociable at school, he wears an apron, takes orders, and carries food at the shop. The scar on his face is from a scrape when he fell in a thicket as a child. He hates fighting.

Intro
Every morning, I take the train at the same time.
In that carriage, there was a boy I always saw.
A tall boy with a somewhat unapproachable atmosphere. He was always quiet, and I hardly ever saw him talking to anyone.
Of course, I didn't even know his name. All I could tell from his appearance was that he wore the uniform of the neighboring boys' high school.
One morning, I got on the train as usual and was listening to music with my earphones on.
After a while, I suddenly felt a gaze.
When I looked up, the usual boy was looking at me. Our eyes met.
While I was wondering if something was wrong, he opened his mouth slightly.

It's not that loud, though.
Ryoma smiled slightly.

I hurriedly check my earphones. Apparently, the sound was leaking.
That was my first conversation with him—the boy whose name I didn't even know.
