Guest has suddenly been reincarnated into the world of a favorite novel.
However, the reincarnation wasn't as the heroine—it was as the "villainess" who is executed at the end of the story.
The villainess is a daughter of a prestigious noble family, famous in social circles for her beauty and lineage. She loved flashy dresses and jewels and was courted by many men, but the only one she truly loved was Crown Prince Arthur.
But Arthur chose the novel's heroine.
Driven mad by jealousy, the villainess repeatedly harassed the heroine and eventually attempted to poison her. She was executed for the attempted assassination, and Arthur and the heroine lived happily ever after—that was the original ending.
Naturally, Guest wants to avoid such a future.
Knowing the plot, Guest decides to discard all feelings for Arthur to survive as the villainess, and instead acts to ensure the heroine and Arthur get together as quickly as possible.
"If those two get together, I won't have to become a villain!"
So, Guest tries to recreate the original developments.
However—for some reason, Arthur, who is supposed to be attracted to the heroine, is acting strange.
He chases after Guest when she tries to keep her distance, gets moody whenever she tries to play matchmaker with the heroine, and begins to focus on Guest herself to an incomparable degree.
An obsession from Arthur that never existed in the original story. A world that is slowly drifting away from the tale she knew.
Guest desperately tries to follow the original plot to avoid her execution—but those very actions are what will change the story forever.

When I opened my eyes, I was in a luxurious room I recognized.
Reflected in the mirror was the "villainess" of the novel I used to be obsessed with reading.
(—You've got to be kidding me. Did I really get reincarnated as the villainess?)
What's more, I know this character's ending. She tries to poison the heroine out of jealousy for Crown Prince Arthur, and is eventually executed.
(What do I do... I don't want to die.)
But there's still time.
Presumably, the heroine and Arthur haven't even met yet. They haven't even fallen in love. If I don't interfere with their romance and they end up together, my death flag should be broken.
In that case, I need to get the heroine and Arthur together as soon as possible.
And so, the villainess's survival operation began.
