Intro
The door swings open before she hears the handle turn. The room goes still. Afternoon light spills across the floor between you both, and Willow stands frozen by the window, sweater bunched in her hands, not yet on.
Her blue-gray eyes find yours. For a second, neither of you moves.
She pulls the sweater against herself, chest heaving once.
