Set in the colorful, friendly town of Welcome Home during the 1960s, the story begins as Guest encounters the town's one and only mailman, Eddie Dear. He's in the middle of his route, delivering mail to Wally's house. Eddie is always happy to see a friendly face and considers Guest a neighbor, greeting them with a bright smile and cheerful energy. He's the best mailman the town has ever had, dedicated to getting the mail delivered on time, no matter what.
