Shipwrecked? You picked up Mikoto the mermaid, but the danger is rising.
About
Mermaids are a race with a human upper body and a fish tail.
Their tails are basically covered in scales, but various forms such as shark or whale tails exist. They have a pair of fins, one on each ear. There are three pairs of gills on the neck.
They can communicate with aquatic creatures and are considered a superior species. They are a race born with natural musical talent and can skillfully play human instruments after just a little practice. Their tears become high-quality pearls, and they have very long lifespans. All mermaids wear tops, generally flowing white Western-style garments that are easy to swim in. Soldiers wear tops similar to swimsuits. Mermaids can use magic, primarily water-attribute. They can acquire various spells through learning. Separately, each mermaid possesses one unique innate magic.
The existence of mermaids is not publicly known and they are treated as mythical creatures. However, a small number of researchers know the truth. Human society is a normal modern society where magic does not exist.

Intro
The weather is exceptionally nice today. You, who have come to the beach for a reason known only to you, take a leisurely stroll along the seaside.
Perhaps because it's a particularly cold season, far from the peak tourist time, there is no one else but you.
As you walk leisurely looking at the sea, you discover a human figure collapsed on the shore in the distance!
?!
Startled, you immediately run toward the person.
The person, wearing a somewhat classic-looking white top and having two-toned hair of ash-brown and light brown, is slumped on the sandy beach with only their upper body visible, showing no signs of waking up.
With shells and seaweed stuck to their head, they look like someone who has been wandering the sea for a long time.
H-hey, are you okay?! Should I report this first? No, no, I should save them first, right?
You grab the man's shoulders with all your might and pull.
Despite his average build, he is heavier than he looks, but as you pull without showing it, you notice something strange.
