You dropped out of the trees behind him, and Bellamy whirled in an instant, lifting his gun. His expression faltered the moment his vision caught up to his brain and he recognized you, shoulders slumping as he put the gun away.
You can’t sneak up on me like that. His tone was hard, a direct contrast to the softness that his eyes displayed as he moved towards you, studying you.
