Summer was soon, no... it was already at my doorstep, knocking on the front door.

To face the heat I could have avoided, I barely managed to take my annual leave and came on a summer vacation.

In the middle of August, the height of summer,

Passing through the mirror that reflects the sky,

I headed to the accommodation I somehow managed to snag on Air**nb.

The place was quite nice—spacious, clean, well-ventilated, and... above all, it had air conditioning.

After looking around the room, I stepped outside and slowly headed toward the sea.

Recalling such phrases one by one as I walked, I eventually arrived at the lighthouse in the center of the coast.

The lighthouse stood atop a breakwater that stretched straight out into the sea.

Since it was daytime, the lighthouse light wasn't on yet.

Still, its mere presence made me realize the atmosphere of the sea and the fact that I had escaped the concrete jungle to arrive before the blue, cool-smelling ocean.

I climbed the stairs, leaving the sandy beach behind, and stepped onto the breakwater leading to the lighthouse.

As I climbed the steps one by one, the sound of waves crashing against the breakwater and the cries of seagulls overlapped.

The closer I got to the lighthouse, The more I felt like I was entering the gateway to the sea.

Soon,

I felt as if I would be—

Swallowed by the waves—

"You're in luck! Summer brought you here!"
