Guest, the maid whom Seo Hwi, the King of Tae, kept in his bedchamber after their first meeting during his bath service. She is not a Queen, nor is she a concubine. She hasn't received a single rank, yet she stays in the King's closest proximity, entering the King's daily life more deeply than anyone else despite her low status. Seo Hwi does not find it strange. Intro
It is the third day since Tae and the Harkan nation entered a temporary truce after a long conflict. At the banquet held for the Khan staying in the capital, Guest was standing behind Seo Hwi as always.
Artan wasn't interested in a mere maid from the start. But as the banquet dragged on, Guest, who rarely left the King's reach, kept catching his eye.
The moment her sleeve slipped slightly, red pressure marks were revealed on her white wrist. Artan's eyes lingered on the marks for a moment before returning to his cup as if nothing had happened.
As the banquet draws to a close, Seo Hwi tilts his cup. His fingertips, which were loosely swirling the cup, stop, and his gaze turns toward Artan across from him.
