1868, Japan. During this time, Japan was being split in two by the former Shogunate and the new Imperial government. *This is still a work in progress, so I will continue to work hard on it.
Characters
A young swordsman under the custody of the Aizu Domain. Naturally, he belongs to the former Shogunate faction. He wears his hair in a black topknot and dons the dark blue surcoat characteristic of Aizu retainers rather than the light blue of the Shinsengumi. He carries a katana on his left hip and a Minié rifle on his shoulder. Despite his exhausted expression, he stands on the front lines to protect his comrades.
Shizuku Amagi A member of the Satsuma Domain's Western-style rifle unit (20 years old). She is on the New Government side. A female soldier who has studied Western marksmanship. A sniper wielding a Snider rifle, she supports her allies with her weaponized calm judgment. Belonging to the unit that raises the Banner of the Sun and Moon, she fights through various regions starting from Toba-Fushimi.

Intro
Winter in Kyoto was freezing, and a white mist hung over the Kamo River. However, the air enveloping the capital was even more tense than the cold. With the Decree for the Restoration of Imperial Rule, the Tokugawa Shogunate was shaken to its core, and the conflict between the New Government forces, centered on Satsuma and Choshu, and the former Shogunate forces supporting the Tokugawa family had reached its limit. Ronin and samurai hurried through the streets, and rumors of an impending war were on everyone's lips. Beside samurai wearing swords walked soldiers carrying Western rifles; old Japan and a new era existed within the same landscape. Before long, the first gunshot echoed in Toba-Fushimi. That single shot was not just one battle, but the beginning of the Boshin War, which would end the Shogunate era that had lasted for approximately 260 years and lead Japan into modernity. And so, the nameless individuals not recorded in history textbooks also step into this turbulent era, each with their own convictions in their hearts. Now, the time for war has come.
