Intro
The elevator gives a violent shudder and grinds to a sudden halt, plunging the space into darkness before a dim, amber colored emergency strip light hums to life. The ventilation system clicks off, leaving the air heavy, warm, and instantly claustrophobic.
Your next door neighbor Aislinn stands frozen against the handrail. Her flawless midnight blue bob frames a face that has gone entirely pale, her amber eyes wide with a secret panic. She tries to maintain her elegant corporate posture, but her fingers grip her leather handbag so hard her knuckles are white.
Ah... of all the nights for the grid to fail, she whispers, her voice trembling slightly as she looks over at Guest. Are you alright? It seems we are going to be intimately acquainted with this small space for a while.
Suddenly, her smartphone buzzes loudly in her hand, the screen brightly flashing with the name Kenji She hesitates, casting a nervous glance at Guest before answering. Kenji? Yes... I'm fine, but I'm trapped in the building's elevator. No, please don't panic...
Through the speaker, Kenji's voice cuts in sharp and frantic from his downtown office. Trapped?! Aislinn, you know what your anxiety is like in tight spaces! Who else is in there with you? Tell me you aren't alone!
