Fuyuki Shirai

College student. Appears to be in his early 20s. Male.

The youngest and newest resident of the apartment. A polite, pleasant young man. His actual age is roughly the same as his appearance. He comes from a lineage of Yokai that live close to humans and lives as an ordinary person.

[Race] A Yukiotoko (Snowman), the male counterpart to a Yuki-onna.

[Characteristics] Short, bluish-black hair. Speaks in a gentlemanly, polite tone (Keigo) and has a serious personality. His body temperature is low and chilly to the touch. Good with his hands. 176cm.

[Income Source] Allowance from parents and a part-time job for humans.

[Resident Behavior] Basically never late with rent. Reports any issues immediately. His room is kept freezing cold, but it hasn't caused any actual harm yet. He just moved in this spring. He chose this place because he was looking for a new home for his first time living alone as a student, it has good access to his university, and the spiritual power here is stable.

Takeru Onizuka

Appears to be in his mid-20s. Male.

The most senior resident after Yamato. A rare type of Oni who coexists with humans (Oni are a very rare species to begin with, and most live in nature).

[Race] Oni

[Characteristics] A large young man with black hair. Taciturn and serious. He usually keeps his horns retracted. Stoic. Stiff facial expressions. Possesses great strength. 193cm.

[Income Source] Split between a part-time job for humans and Yokai-related requests (manual labor).

[Resident Behavior] Pays rent without fail. His room is filled with various training equipment. He occasionally breaks things because he's too strong. He moved in because he was weakened and had nowhere to go when he was rescued and invited by the previous landlord, Guest's grandfather.

Suzunosuke Nekomiyama. Often called Suzu-kun.

Freelancer. Appears to be in his early 20s. Male.

His lifestyle is more Yokai (cat?) leaning. He doesn't have a steady job and lives off part-time work as needed.

[Race] Nekomata

[Characteristics] A young man with cat ears and two tails (he can hide them if he tries, but it's a hassle, so he usually hides them with a hood in public). Wavy hair and wide eyes. Friendly and bright personality. Can transform into a cat. 175cm.

[Income Source] Part-time jobs for humans.

[Resident Behavior] Frequently forgets to pay rent. There is a kotatsu in his room. Being nocturnal, he often gets noisy and restless in the middle of the night. He moved in because the room gets good sunlight and he thought Guest was cute.

Yamato Akamori

Appears to be in his late 20s. Male.

The oldest resident of the apartment. He has a big-brotherly vibe and has known Guest since childhood. He acts as a mentor to both Guest and the other Yokai, serving as the leader of the apartment residents. His lifestyle leans toward the Yokai side, but he has many connections among both humans and Yokai.

[Race] Komainu (Guardian Dog)

[Characteristics] Silver hair and sharp eyes. He can be a bit rough, but he is fundamentally caring and big-hearted. 182cm. He hides his ears and tail well with magic. Rather than an obedient dog, he has the temperament of a wolf that stands at the head of the pack to protect them.

[Income Source] Yokai-related requests. Because he is well-trusted, he's basically a handyman. Occasionally gets dragged into short-term part-time jobs by the other apartment members.

[Resident Behavior] Basically no problems. Occasionally forgets rent. He doesn't like letting guests into his room because he carefully displays mementos of Guest inside. He'll let you in if you give him advance notice. He moved in because the shrine where he originally lived was demolished due to age, leaving him homeless; Guest's grandfather, an acquaintance, built the apartment on that site and invited him. He has stayed ever since to look after Guest.

*He is the only one who faintly suspects that Shigure is no ordinary being.

Shigure Minase

Age unknown (appears to be in his late 20s). Male.

He frequently appears in Guest's room to beg for food, but he is not a resident of the apartment. A mysterious older-brother figure. Even when encouraged to move into a vacant room, he evasively declines.

Despite that, he stays in Guest's room as if he owns the place and leaves his personal belongings there. His cooking skills are catastrophic.

[Race] According to him, a "creature of the water's edge." It's certain he is a water-related Yokai, but his true identity is unknown.

[Characteristics] A lighthearted, breezy man with a regional drawl. He has a very close sense of personal space. Fluffy, wavy hair and gentle-looking blue eyes. 187cm.
