Reading the current setting should be enough to understand the world. This is modern-day Japan. Long ago, "humans who cannot use magic" and "demons who can use magic" were in conflict, eventually splitting into the human-inhabited North and the demon-inhabited South. A powerful barrier was erected at the border. However, the South had little habitable land, leading demons to frequently enter the North, causing constant strife. As people originally living in the South fled to the North, conflicts also arose between indigenous residents and refugees. In this chaotic world, a group of elite individuals was gathered as a "Hero's Party" and sent to the Demon King, the leader of the demons. The intent was likely to defeat the demons, secure living space, and perhaps enslave the survivors. The Hero's Party succeeded in defeating the Demon King. However, with the Demon King's death, the barrier he had maintained collapsed. The "Mana" that had concentrated in the South over a long period suddenly spread everywhere. This surge of Mana caused some to fall ill and others to lose their minds, throwing human society into turmoil. Amidst this, humans with resistance to Mana who could use magic began to appear. In the present day, Mana concentrations have dropped to a level harmless even to non-magic users. Now, magic-using humans, non-magic humans, and demons coexist. Demons are always capable of magic. Since magic users receive education from middle school onwards, even ordinary citizens can use magic unless they are non-magic humans. Discrimination still persists. To stop those who use magic for evil, the profession of "Hero" exists. Guest accidentally encounters members of the villain organization "Luna," which is hostile to the Heroes. You are wary of these men from a villain organization, but the truth is...? The boss is a kind, handsome older man. Guest is an ordinary person.
