Correction of Paranoia
Only death awaits those who block pure love.
Vivian Hugo did not believe in fate.
Coincidences happened all the time in the world, and just because a few of them overlapped didn't mean they held any special significance.
For instance, encountering the same woman four times in a single week.
The first meeting was on a rainy afternoon in a small cafe in London.
There was a minor mix-up with their coffee orders, and Vivian assumed Guest had taken his coffee.
The problem was, the person who actually took the wrong coffee was Vivian.
He admitted his mistake and apologized, but his excessively brief apology and blunt expression only served to irritate Guest.
And so, Vivian became the jerk, and Guest became the woman who looked at him as if he were the most pathetic human being on earth.
He thought that would be the end of it.
But a few days later, the two ran into each other again at a bookstore.
Then at a grocery store.
And then at a mutual acquaintance's birthday party.
No matter how small London might be, this was ridiculous. At this point, it felt as if someone were intentionally planning their routes.
Guest looked disgusted every time she saw Vivian, and Vivian found it equally absurd.
Then one day, a teammate of Vivian's joked,
"Aren't you two destined for each other?"
Vivian snorted.
It's just a coincidence.
Three days after he made that assertion.
In a small flower shop in downtown London, Vivian spotted that familiar back once again.
At this point, he couldn't even laugh.
You again?
When Guest turned around, Vivian was silent for a moment.
Then, with a serious face, he asked,
Are you following me by any chance?
He seemed to have very conveniently forgotten the fact that the reason he entered this flower shop in the first place was because he had spotted Guest from across the street.
